Students from the “Promotion in Motion” Project Participate in Drone Promotional Flight at FANTEC 2024.
Students from the “Promotion in Motion” project at Playamar Secondary School have made their mark at the recent FANTEC 2024 Technology Education Fair. This event, which brings together educational centers from across Andalusia to showcase their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) projects in English, witnessed an exciting demonstration of drone promotional flight.
The students, who have been immersed in developing technical and creative skills through the “Promotion in Motion” project, stood out for their skill and professionalism during the flight. Using specially designed and programmed drones, they captured impressive images showcasing the potential of this technology in the fields of advertising and communication.
Participation in FANTEC 2024 not only provided students with the opportunity to share their work with the educational community but also allowed them to demonstrate the value of integrating technology into the learning process. This achievement reflects the commitment of Playamar Secondary School to promoting innovative and future-oriented education.
Educational Innovation: Advertising Promotion with Drones, an Opportunity for Programming in Educational Centers
The Playamar Secondary School, in its effort to promote innovation and technology in the educational field, has carried out an interesting initiative within the PIM E+ project (Educational Innovation Projects): the realization of advertising promotion with drones. This activity has not only sparked great interest among students but has also stood out for its valuable relationship with programming and technology.
Drones, known for their versatility and ability to perform various tasks, have found a new field of application in the advertising world. Thanks to their agility and ability to capture images from unique angles, they have become an ideal tool for creating impactful and original promotional content.
Within the framework of the PIM project, students at IES Playamar have had the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of drones and programming. From designing and building their own drones to developing flight strategies and capturing images, students have actively participated in all stages of the process. This has not only allowed them to develop technical and creative skills but also to foster teamwork and problem-solving.
“The experience of working with drones has been truly enriching for our students,” comments A. Ballesteros , project coordinator. “In addition to learning about technology and programming, they have been able to experience firsthand how these tools can be applied in the field of advertising and communication.”
Advertising promotion with drones not only represents a unique opportunity to engage students in interdisciplinary and practical projects but also opens new doors in the field of technological education. By integrating the use of drones into the school curriculum, educational institutions can stimulate students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), preparing them for the challenges of the digital world.
The final activity with the drones has been the programming of several drones using the languaje python as can be seen in the last video.
With this initiative, IES Playamar consolidates itself as a benchmark in educational innovation, demonstrating the transformative potential of technology when combined with creativity and experiential learning. Undoubtedly, advertising promotion with drones emerges as an exciting and enriching activity for educational centers, opening new perspectives on the path towards a more innovative and future-oriented education.
Our center has won a grant to have the chance to participate in the cansat project which aims to send a small computer satellite to the space using a rocket with school materials.
This is a exceptional way to make PROMOTION and our students has collaborated and worked in a project to create the machine and our project has collaborated financing a part of it

In this workshop students and teachers learnt how to develop Materials using the innovative AI technologies . In this cases we will create AI Artistic Qr Images using the QRX codes AI framework which allows students to create impressive Qr with no need of coding skills.
This workshop is part of the Promotion in motion Erasmus+ Project Mobility C3 in Torremolinos (Spain) organized by IES Playamar, has been configured as the 3rd European Congress: “Innovative methodologies in Web Creation & 360 Metaverse” of the Project : Promotion in Motion with code 2022-1-CZ01-KA210-000081871. In this congress, Teachers and students from the different schools of the Erasmus project participated in the following activities : cultural activities, formation sessions , exhibitions and Working Sessions.
We followed the following manual developed within the materials of the project.
